| Sorry I don't know a lot about the Nexus head mechanics or I'd have more ideas, but...
If there's a collar or other retainer on the main shaft, check it. Make sure that there is no vertical play in the main shaft. If the Nexus has a collar like on the Raptor, and it's loose or up a bit from where it belongs, the main shaft is sometimes allowed to slide up and down in its bearings, (main gear and all) and this would give you instant changes in pitch, up and down. It doesn't require much play to change your pitch a good amount.
You can't simply test this by just pulling up and down on the main shaft, you have to look for the play. The bearings have a good grip on the main and won't allow it to move freely up and down all of the time. (which explains why your heli only jumps sometimes, and only after it's been in the air for a little bit) |
