Hey guys, How do you think these two stack up against each other? The MRC charger is ten bucks less & comes with a transformer to use with a household outlet. I bought a Triton a couple days ago at my LHS, but it didn't work so I got my money back since it was the only one they had in stock. Now I'm looking into getting a charger online & wanted some feedback on how much better (or not) that the Triton is comparatively. Thanks.

Triton is a better charger by far. Alot more features and battery support. If all you want to do is charge TX/RX batteries, then the 969 might be more practical & convienent since it can do both at the same time, but if you are going to get into electrics go back and buy the Triton.

I agree with Gecko. I have both the 969 and the Triton, I love the Triton. It is a lot easier to use and it remembers the last setting. I am not to sure about the lipoly charging with the 969, I do trust my Triton in charging lipoly. Also, the 969 can only charge up to 8 cells. The only real advantage with the 969 is the fact it has a PS. I usually take it with me on my travels.

Spend the extra 10 bucks, get a PS and you will not be disappointed.

Hell, I am thinking of buying another one.....Triton that is...

I have a triton and if you worried about household current, just buy a transformer at radio shack. I cut off the ends of the battery terminal leads, put female bannana plugs on the triton and male bannana plugs on the AC/DC transformer and the battery leads, whenever I need household current, plug in the transformer, 12V battery plug in those leads, the Triton is so easy to use, I would definently use the triton.

Thanks a lot! I guess I'm going with the Triton then. Appreciate all the info everyone put in.
