first I will say I know absolutely nothing about NiMH batteries. I received an 8 cell ACCU PRO 8.4 volt,880 mah pack from MS with my SCH300 Hornet and I also was given two NiMH packs from a friend that flew Hornets,..one is 8 cells, the other 7 cells.
I don't know there voltage.
My charger is a INTELLIPEAK digital pulse charger ModelDTXP4130 by DuraTrax-Link below:
http://www.duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxp4100.html

They have been charged before and do have charge in them now.

IF SOMEONE COULD TAKE THE TIME TO REVIEW THE CHARGER LINK AND GIVE ME A SIMPLE EXPLANATION AS TO HOW TO CHARGE THESE BATTERIES IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Thank You

Typical NiCd packs are 1.25 volts per cell. An 8pk would be about 10v.
Typical NiMH packs are 1.20 volts per cell. An 8pk would be 9.6v

Voltages may be significantly higher for a fully charged pack, (10.5v not uncommon) but this will quickly drop under load.

Most (but not all) peak-detecting chargers work with nicads and nimh batteries. It'd be best to check the documentation on your charger, I don't know what that one supports.

Mike G:

I have the Duratrax IntelliPeak #DTXP4110 charger. It seems to work fine for AA battery packs. I'm not sure how good it is fo Sub-C packs.
The NiMH packs are 1.2v (Nominal) per cell. I peak charge them at the rated ma + 10%.
I stop charging once they peak. The charger you have will go into trickle after it peaks. I disconnect it as soon as I notice it has peaked. The jury is still out on cycling NiMH packs. Choose your on course. The DuraTrx charger I have specifically says that you should not discharge NiMh cells greater that 'AA' with it. My Rx pack is 3000ma Sub-C NiMH.
I have a new charger on order. I will most likely try a couple of cycles to see the effect on the pack.

Good luck with your charger. Make sure you set the ma properly before Peak Charging your packs.
