The best? Can you say V blades?

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Let me begin by saying that the blades I list below are blades I have used. There may be other excellent blades out there, but since I have not used them, I wll not comment on them.

First off, we have V-Blades. Best blades out there. Period.

Next we have NHP. I like these very much, but they do not seem as stiff as V-Blades.

The SAB blades are very good as well. I like these because they come in white. It makes them very easy to see. The SAB's are little less expensive as well too.

CMT blades are my favorite. They are 100% carbon and have a white gel coat. Plus the price is very good at about $60 per set. The problem is they seem to be hard to find currently.

Lastly, we have "The World Modles" FRP blades. These blades are pretty darn good over all. They are not as stiff as carbon blades since they are fiberglass. However, they are white in color, pre-balanced, have both 3mm and 4mm bolt hole bushings and include shims for different root sizes. Now here is the most amazing part... They are only $28 per set... I have a lot more "courage" when I have these blades on. Because I know if I crash, I did not destroy very expensive blades.

Here is a cut and paste from a prior post about where to find these blades. -Steve

I have a few sets of these blades. They look and fly great. And they are only $28!!!

The company that makes them is "The World Models". The USA distributor and retailer is Airborne Modles. Here is a link to their web page. They also have full page ads in RCM magazine.

http://www.airborne-models.com/

Once you get there, look down at the lower left corner and you will see "Parts and Accessories". Click on Accessories. Go to the bottom and click on page 2. Once on page 2, scroll down to the bottom and you will see the following two items:

FRP main rotor blade PR6200550 Fiberglass 550 mm semi-symmetrical. Clockwise rotation. 4 Oz. pre-balanced. Bolt hole 4 mm, root 12.5 mm.

FRP main rotor blade PR6200551 Fiberglass 550 mm symmetrical

If you then go to page 3, you will see the 660's and 680 blades.

Please note the web site says the root is 12.5mm, in reality, they are exactly 12mm and fit the Raptor perfectly. Yes, they include spacers and bushings for 3mm and 4mm bolt holes.

I hope this helps. -Steve
