How difficult is a Fury to build? There seems to be a ton of parts and gears. My only building experience is with a raptor and a don't have a ton of specialized tools. Do you think I will have trouble building one of these well?

There are a few different things but it is overall a very easy kit to build. Just make sure you loctite everything metal to metal, unless a locnut is provided, and don't overtighten. You might wanna buy a 1.5 milli hex driver, it makes life much more easier than with the allen. Also Don't overtighten the bellmixers or the bearing blocks. Feel free to ask questions if you run into something, better to ask than to mess up.

Good Luck,

WOW its amazing that you could get those lock washer things on the head. The ones that secure the inserts on the mixing levers. YOu can get these things on with no special tools?

I built mine and it hovered nicely and succesfully. Just follow the directions. It would help if you can see a built and tested fury as a guide.

It took me 2 weeks to build my fury. I still needed to install servos, gyro, engine and blades. I also should add that I built my raptor in 1 night.

I used a veneir caliper (digital 12" anda regular 24"), an acuate level, an acurate protractor, ball link pliers, edm, lathe, drill, and the neccesay wreches, allens and screwdrivers. and a grinder and some wierd thing for those clips. You don't need all of this stuff, but it was available to me so why not.

Hey Dave, thanks for the post. What would you think about the conversion kit from se to furry? Would that be a good way to go. And yes I did get into your posts, saw your gallery also. Awesome looking bird.
