| he's right. althought the 12.9 alloy screws will
oxidize (rust for you non-technical types), they
are much stronger than stainless steel.
Also, certain types of screws are stronger.
For example, 'button head' screws are almost
always made of a weaker alloy than socket
heads. If you need the strength, then get
'cheese head' or low profile socket head.
That's why on the Freya, I pulled out the
button head screws on the yoke & dampeners. |
