I don't suppose that there is anyone out there that has a belt for driving the tail of my restored Heli - Baby????

Thanks

I have a couple that are in sad shape (the facing is worn off). Back when I flew them I refaced them with PRC 1435 (aircraft fuel tank sealant) and it worked ok
If I were you I would modify it to use a modern toothed belt as the belt was one of the weak points on the machine.

Doug,

what is the size of the belt?
Do you know of anyone that has done the toothed belt mod? if so what belt did they use and what drive cogs did they use??
It's a long shot but I gotta try

Cheers

That's the problem no cogs Just a nurled crowned pulley and they would slip. I think you could modify some Raptor parts to do the job then get a "stock drive" cataloge and find a belt that will fit.

Heli-baby parts

heliwilly,

A few years back a friend gave me the airframe of a Heli-baby along with a box of parts which includes at least one replacement belt. Unfortuneately, the fan and shroud have been lost to time (they may be still in my parents basement) but all of the other major pieces are there. If you still have a need and are interested in any or all of the parts, let me know.

Regards,

Brian

I would appreciate it if you could send me some pics.
If you could find out how much the shipping is that would be useful as well

Thanks

Not forgotten

Hey Bill,

I haven't forgotten you, I just got way sidetracked. Will try and put up pictures this weekend. I imagine that shipping will be approximately $50 US. If you decide that you are seriously interested, I can box it up and take it to the post office and get it weighed to give an exact shipping cost.
