Hello,

I am having some problems with my cd-r drive. It will only let me burn discs using the Roxio easy cd creator software. When I try burning a disc using Kodak easy share or windows media player, I get an error message saying something like "device not detected"


Any ideas?

Generally speaking, Roxio (EasyCDCreator) likes to be the only one on your machine and does NOT play well with others.

You need to post your OS. If using XP, you have a built in burner software, a Roxio variant.

Best deal, ditch the Roxio software and use Nero.

I use Nero as well and also had trouble using Roxio. Nero's user interface isn't as nice as Roxio's but it works a lot better.
