Robbe Cuatro - Millennium - Nova - Dyna-X > Tail speed up gears

If anyone is interested in speeding up their tail, Robbe makes a gear set to change the ratio from a 4.6 to 4.9:1 (P/N S2932) I think this will be necessary when we go to longer 720 vblades and shorter tail blades with a OS90 or YS 80. Also most of the other helis on the market are running 4.9 to 5.0:1 ratios. I ordered a pair from overseas. No one has them in the US.

Hi Clark,
I wonder if you would do me a favor. I have a set of tail rotor gears that have 19 teeth on them and think that they are a robbe product.
Please let me know if these are speedup or stock. Thanks

There are 2 different speed up gears. The Robbe site in Europe lists them but doesn't say how many teeth the gears have and I am not sure of the exact reduction to do the math. I think they would have 18 or 19 teeth. I will let you know when mine arrive how many teeth they have. I ordered the 4.92:1 the other gears have a 5.49:1 check out the www.robbe.com, hit english, product, helicopter, standard, tunning parts, it should be listed on the 3rd or 4th page of tunning parts.
