Stolen? Missing Helis or Equip > Stolen heli in So Cal....

Hey guys,
Keep an eye out for a highly modified Hirobo Tsurugi.
It was stolen out of Stacey Slead's garage last night. He lives in Rancho Penesquitos (San Diego area). His garage was open while he was working on it and they got it between 6 & 7pm while he went inside to eat dinner. They didn't get the transmitter, so they may show up somewhere wanting to buy a radio for a heli.

This heli is very unique and identifiable as it kind of a hybrid
Tsurugi/Freya. It has a Freya canopy with the Flyin' Tiki blue/yellow
sunsplash decal set (It say Tsurugi XX on each side of the canopy), the
windshield is painted with a very cool carbon fiber effect. It also has the
metal X-spec landing gear, Freya fuel tank, OS 70, Hatori SB-16 muffler, gy401/9253 gyro system, 710 MAH blades (they have the X-cell logo on the oval labels at the root and the white painted tips and roots, V paddles JR 4131 servos, Bergen G-10 sideframes and heavy-duty metal bearing blocks, and lots of neat little blue anodized bits and yellow neon fuel line. This machine is very customized and has a lot of sentimental value to Stacey as he has put a LOT of work into it.

If you see or hear about this heli please contact Stacey or me at the
numbers below.
Stacey Slead 858-354-8605 or 858-484-6257
Chris Wilson 760-415-3833

Please forward this info to anybody that you feel could help find this machine.

Thanks,
ChrisW

That's a bummer. I thought that only happened down here in Chula-juana. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Nothing is ever so bad that it can't get worse

I know Stacey is going by all the local SD hobby shops and is going to even let the pawn shops know to keep an eye out for it...

good luck on getting help from ama on recovery. i had mine stolen from the back of my car while it was in the garage. but according to ama, there were no signs of "forced entry". but i live in a gated community which was locked..big f****ing gate, but since the windows were not broken or the door of the garage not torn off, ama said no theft happened. even with the police report which ama says must be with claim and proof of purchase, i had to replace it all out of pocket. so rip the door off break all the windows in the house, then report it...ama still never answered the question if the heli is in the back of a pick-up--where is the forced entry? sorry to hear of the lost

Throw down some pics of the missing heli and I will keep an eye out down near the border. I frequent Tijuana a lot but never seen anyone fly down there, but I heard they do. Since I'm an X-Cell person, I have no idea of what a Hirobo looks like. Hence the pics.

No news...

....but Stacey was able to get his homeowners insurance to pay off (took about a month after he submitted his claim).
He had receipts for just about everything so he was able to be fully reimbursed (minus his deductable)...
He's now flying Fury's and hasn't looked back!

Chris, maybe the police can take finger prints, if the heli was on a table, or something. Post some pics.

Doubtful on the prints. recovered and uable less than 10% of the time and most dept. won't worry with something like that, believe me I know, its long gone by now. Just chalk it up to a bad day and thank the good Lord that you weren't home when it happened and nobody got hurt. Stuff can be replaced people can't.
