Miniature Aircraft Nitro/Gas Helicopters > Washout guide pins and Swashplate

I have my Fury up and running. I got the first hovers in this weekend trying to break in the YS 80. Is going to be a real powerhouse. Here is the ? My washout guide pins touch the swashplate at full pitch and full cyclic. I am running 10.5 degrees of pitch and swinging 700 SAB blades. Would it be better to just slightly shorten the two pins or do I need to adjust linkage. The reason I ask is that the rear linkage to the swashplate is as short as it will go without taking material off of the links. The other thing that I have noticed is that one gude pin is slightly longer than the other. I know I can get there when I have the time to work on it. I was just curious if someone has had this issue. I real new to this CCPM stuff. Just when the conventional set up got to be a piece of cake, I get something new to figure out. HAHA Thanks

How long are your pins? Mine are 27.5mm and running 10 degrees collective pitch and 6 degrees cyclic, the swash clears the pins by a couple of mm's.

Crashr30,

I had that problem on my fury expert .91. Jason Krause spotted it as he inspected it before a test flight for me. He quickly screwed the elevator swash rod all the way closed and then adjusted the other rods down ( pitch and aileron ). Then when he moved the stick to full posistive and full cyclic elevator, it cleared the pins. I would not cut the pins , but instead cut the rods or shorten them. Make sure all atv settings are at 100 % , no less ,no more.

Thanks

I will work with adjusting linkages. Sounds like the right way to go. I can say that one guide is longer thane the other but I have not measured yet.
