Using the OS 61 with a Zimmerman muffler you can get more power by going up to 30% NItro fuel with the higher oil content. If you are already there there is one very important thing to do to get the power, use cyclic to throttle mixing.
If you add around 15% throttle mix to both the aileron and elevator you will see a great improvement on consecutive manuevers. This will be from center stick out to max throw in each direction. When setting this make sure that the mix ADDS the throttle for each of left/ right and forward/ aft and does not REMOVE the throttle! The mix usually looks like a V curve.
As I see it, what is really happening is that when the mixing is set properly, the throttle ALWAYS stays ahead of pitch changes (cyclic as well as collective (these two add to each other)), and this keeps the rotor speed from decaying. The mixing adds throttle just ahead of the pitch change. Experiment with this to get what feels good and you will be amazed at "how much more power" your helicopter seems to have, especially in consecutive manuevers. If you get too much mixing too soon, the rpm's will actually rev up as you roll and such, and it sounds really cool! (but of course, that is too much)
A warning ! Make sure that at full power and full collective and cyclic (everything in the corners), you do not bind or pop links off of the throttle!! A servo saver can be used or if you have 7 point or assignable point position mixing you can set the mix where it is removed just before maximum throttle (because you are already at max anyway) to keep from having a bind.
I hope that this makes sense, as it works great!!
Later!
