Hi all!
I would like to know what products are good for storage over the winter.
Should I use a fogger oil while the engine is running, like they use on cars. or should I take the plug out and squirt oil down the cylinder and the carb?
Thanks ....Dennis

Engine storage

Make sure that ALL fuel is out of the engine(run it dry) then remove the glow plug, put several drops of after run oil in the carb and turn the engine over several times by hand to distribute the oil, then put a few drops in the glow plug opening and turn the engine over slowly to coat the top of the piston and the cyclinder wall, replace the glow plug finger tight only! Place the engine in a plastic bag-*NOTE* place a note or some way to remind yourself that there is oil in the cylinder! If you forget and try to start the engine with oil in it you may damage the engine due to hydraulic lock!! I have heard of using automatic trans fluid but I have never tried it.-------BladeRunner

Marvin’s Miracle Oil from Wal-Mart works terrific and is cheap by the quart!! Just preserve the engine with it as BladeRunner said.

Marvel Mystery oil? The red stuff in the red can? Works miracles in all kinds of stuff. I mix some in with my gokart gas, just for fun
