| Fury: Well guys, even though it FEELS fine, now that I've assembled it against the tail drive pinion, my inner-gear on the autorotation assembly feels tight. I used both the thick and thin 20 mm i.d. shims at the bottom of the main shaft against the white teflon o-ring. What has everyone else been doing?
BTW, my SE OS91 conversion has finally broken in and it is a screamer. Engine was a bitch to get right even with the 8.18 ratio and SB15 Hatori, but I've got it dialed now. Tons of power. Pulling -11 to +11 with no bog when pegged. Bottom end is only 1/8 turn in from full rich and high end is about 1.2 turns out from full lean. That's at 1000' ASL in Atlanta area. I am getting 11 minutes on the 20 oz tank and another minute plus from the header.
The 91 is causing me to be super sensitive on the collective as ANY unintended positive or negative is felt much more than the 61WC2! This also means I can now tick tock through manuevers with ease and it makes me look a lot better for sure. It's hard NOT to do a climbing tick tock.
I will, however, be flying my Fury more often when complete to get 'smooth'. I feel you have to work the collective more carefully with a 60 and that it is the choice engine for everyday practice (certainly from a cost of fuel point). |
