Here's the lyrics:

Sweet Home Alabama

Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabamy once again
And I think its a sin, yes

Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don't need him around anyhow

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you

In Birmingham they love the gov' nor
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Here I come Alabama

Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers
And they've been known to pick a song or two
Lord they get me off so much
They pick me up when I'm feeling blue
Now how about you?

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Sweet home Alabama
Oh sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue
And the guv'nor's true
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you

Hi,

for those of you who like Evanescence, Nightwish is great:

www.nightwish.com has a lot of song samples.

A mix between power metal, gothic rock and classic voice... something different than the usual crap in the charts
Beto Vazquez' Infinity album is nice too. Some of the songs are sung by Tarja, the singer of Nightwish.

Regards,

Andi

By the way, be careful if you like the Alabama thing and country, you might be a little bit shocked by Nightwish

Corey11 ya wrong. The group "Alabama" originally sang the song "Sweet Home Alabama" and Lynard Skynard copied em! That's the truth.

Sweet Home

just cannot let this one go Raptordude...

Lynyrd Skynyrd "Second Helping" Album, released 1974, was the first release of Sweet Home Alabama. It was written by Ed King - Ronnie VanZant - Gary Rossington. Ed King joined the band and switched from bass to guitar, creating the distinctive triple guitar assault in 1971. The band released their second effort, "Second Helping", which spawned their first charting U.S. single "Sweet Home Alabama." The song is seen as a southerner's response to Neil Young's 1971 song "Southern Man". The single reached #8 on the charts, with the album itself hitting #12 (earning yet another gold disc).

Alabama's first album was released in 1980...

Southern Rock was here a LONG time before Alabama...
