Im born and raised and live on Maui(small island) and I have an uncle who is also a mechanic that can rip quarters , nickels, dimes , pennies you name it. I think hes like the only one in the world who could ever do it, anyways I just thought id let you all know just to make some small talk. Oh he was on thats incredible way back in the 80's and had a documentation from ronald regean or one of them that allowed him to rip the quarters being that it is a federal crime.
I just felt like writing about it cause last time I have seem him do it was like 10 years ago and today he ripped a couple, some with his TeeTH!!!!

All you have to do is bob down to your local magic shop and buy the coins. Their gimmicks! Have you ever seen David Blaine bite through the coins, easy, I've been doing it for years. I think you've been fooled for years, unless your uncle really is able to do it and in that case you should ask him to, as he should be able to, rip a sheet of steel in half or bite through a fork (one that you supplied). Sorry to pee on your bonfire but don't be fooled by a very common magic trick.

You think my uncle does majic tricks , try shaking his hand he could squeeze the bone marrow out of your bones. No this is no bull**** as everyone on Maui knows of him, hes 62 years old now and when he does rip it it hurts his hand the next day because of artritus or whatever. After he does rip it his fingers are compressed so bad, its complete natural strength. Yes he can rip a quarter in 3 or 4 peices, could even rip dimes back in his youth. Believe me if he shook arnold swartzernegers hand the terminator i bet he could make arnold scream for mommy.

Oh he only does it now when hes a bit drunk and got his old time friends around to show off to, if not hes very likely not to do it. When thats incredible was on maui in the 80's he ripped tons of them for them and they didnt pay him jack ****.

hhhhmmmm.....ok, I didn't rule it out completely. But I just think it is highly unlikely that a 62 year old with artheritis is able to tear a coin. Maybe the make the coins in the states more maluable than in the UK, but I remember bending 2 pence coins in my woodwork classes. I had to use a large hydraulic vice thingy to bend them. And that's bending, not tearing.

Your uncle should be on tv is this is the case. And I would be very impressed to see it done for real. I think a few pics or a vid might be good to convince me .

Just seen that link and wow, not sure whether to believe it. Go get a coin and try and bend it, then try tear it, then go and get some pliars and see if you can manage with those. I think this is just of those things you have to see it to believe it.

gee's you guys are gulible. Look at the coin this old fart is supposed to have fipped in half.

Now take a piece of cardboard or paperstock and tear it (rip it) into two pieces.

Now look at the piece of cardstock and then the coin. Tell me this old guy did the same thing.

If your uncle's amazing ability is in fact true, then I think we would of already of heard about him. I have seen many people tear coins and bite them, but I wasn't stupid enough (or gulible enough) to believe that it was actually a real solid coin. There are many designs that are available for purchase that will allow you to do these tricks in front of an audience. It's only a bit of slight of hand that is needed to change the real and the prop coins.

Trust me, if your uncle is able to tear coins, then he will be able to rip a spoon in half easily. Ask him to bite through a horse shoe. But you can't tell him before hand, you'll have to show up with it unannounced and ask him to do it right there and then without any hesitation or him leaving the room. Now if he can do any of those, then you have more proof. But until then, he's just a regular old man who can afford to blow $40 down at the magic shop.
