| If it is a radio problem, it will be buried in the circuitry of the rx somewhere and a cursory inspection will never find it. It's always a good idea to have a rx checked out by a technician with proper test equipment after a crash.
But I tend to agree with ColeopTer; this sounds like a fuel delivery problem, Chris. Pinched fuel line, snagging clunk, etc. The crash could have also bumped the spraybar into a different attitude. I know, that's stretching pretty far, but stranger things have happened with these critters.
While the loose t/r shaft could be loading a bearing enough to cause rf interference while inverted, the fact that you got the ship back over upright says that you did NOT suffer a lock-out. As far as I know, PCM lock-outs are like being pregnant- either you is, or you ain't. It is not channel-selective- when it occurs, everything freezes.
This is a real puzzler; let us know what you find.
