Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > New JR G5000T chattering at idle - normal?

I just installed a new JR G5000T gyro in my heli today and it flies GREAT. I'm using it with the 8700G serve. My questionis this: is it normal for it to chatter when on the bench at mid-stick. It is in heading lock mode, and all transmitter settings are set to the initial recommendations. In a hover there is zero tail twitch - it's only on the bench that I notice it.

Is this normal???

Found it...

Never mind, guys. The problem was the relatively new 8700G servo - not the gyro. Not too impressed with a servo that goes out that soon. I'm very easy on tail servos - nothing radical or no sudden stops. Bummer!

The buzzing sound your hearing is normal in coreless servos, it's constantly updating it's centering. Nothing to worry about.

This one is not doing the normal buzzing. I'm familiar with that. This one is actually chattering or oscillating about 1/8" back and forth very quickly. Bad servo.

MMM, NO, IT'S NORMAL..

Mine does the same thing and i think your exagerating about the 1/8" measurement. Also in heading hold mode it would ususally go to full travel seeking the gyro center (if you moved it after booting the gyro).Oh one other thing, do you have the blade holder on with the blades folded while raising the collective in this little test of yours? You know if you do it would put a strain on the collective servo possibly causing some type of interference or feed back or even battery drain.Sounds funny that it would do it at different pitch levels. Are you sure you don't have some revo mix going on?These are just a few possibilities
