I would like to ask which one is better as I would like to buy a controller to replace my old one JR8103.

Better is a subjective opinion. The Futaba 9Z will do more things than the 10X, quite a few more, at the cost of some complexity. The normally used items are faily easy to program on either radio, but with the extra things that the 9Z will do, you can spend more time in the transmitter programming, if you wish. The manual for the 9Z leaves a little to be desired, but their is a large news group for the 9Z on Yahoo Groups, any question that you can think of and a few that you can't, can be answered there.

A friend and I are in a similar predicament.
I have an old 8103 and his 10SX is disintegrating.

We're both looking at the new Fut 9C (notthe 9Z).
It's got almost all the features 98% of the pilots want w/o
the superduper features and price of the 9Z.

We're both very down on JR as they seem to charge
sky high pricing and their products just dont compete in
many cases (particularly in gyros and the 10X).

I took some time and reviewed both radios and at the end I went for the 9Z-WC2 as my newest radio.
Granted, it's much more difficult to program but even though it might be difficult to get it to do some weird thing you want it done it has the capability to do it whereas the 10X lacks it.
The 10X it is a lot easier to program but you trade easy for capabilities and given that I chose capabilities.

Buy Jr

I have a friend who has a 9Z and I do his heli work. I computer literate and I still hate programming that ***** thing.

You've already invested in Jr. This gives you extra resources ie servos etc.

The 10X programming is very straight forward.

After an 8103 and 10X, that both had, "signal strenght problems." I switched to the 9Z and have been very pleased with it. It's a pain to learn to program, but much more versatile than the 10X. I go to a lot of funflys, and being able to quickly change channels is a huge plus. No more waiting for hours to get a pin, just find an open one and grab it!

One thing I will say is tha tHorizon's customer service rocks! Futaba's sucks so bad I've thought about switching or sending the stuff overseas to get serviced. At horizon, they'll fix your stuff. At Futaba its always"damaged beyond repair" I have sent them things that worked and they said they were damaged beyond repair!!!!!

Great Planes is like the dark side of the force. Too bad they handle Futaba instead of Horizon. The funny part is that most of the times it's one person that gives a whole company a bad name. No matter what the good intentions are it just takes one employee to screw it up.
