Well i have started to work on the fuse and man is this fuse BIG . The instruction leave a lot to be desired as there are only drawings and some notes, but i am making good headway on this project. i hope to be able to have the fuse ready for painting next month.

I still need a few items to complete the construction (exhaust pipe, cockpit, pilot figures, scale fittings, 5 bladed head, etc...)

Thats a 4 foot ruler up against the skids

Man, I cant wait to get my hands on the EC-135 ! ... i think it will be dwarfed compared to your 500 Alan ... in the EC-135 the HP5 mounts right on the floor of the fuse ...

and looks like you got at least 6" of space betwwn the hp5 and fuse bottom....

I think the EC-135 for the hp 5 is 1:6 scale just like the glo version ..... your 500 is closer to 1:4 scale..

I also want to see how the NH 90 and the bell 230 will compare side by side ....

by the way, ya itchy yet from the glass ??

cat scratch fever

itchy ain't the word, i took four showers today and i still have two doors that need cutting and trimming. i will have them done tomorrow. I hope the hinges come in this week so i can mount the doors.

Tornado

Alan, are you sure you have not run up that helicopter in your shop? Looks like an F5 tornado went thru there!

The main shaft in my 500 is vertical with no forward tilt.The real MD500 flies nose down in fast forward flight! That forward tilt is only for the corporate sissy's who want a level cabin in there 76's and Augusta 109's in cruise flight.
