Mid to late morning sounds like around the time I'll be getting up. I'm feeling depressed and that makes me even more lazy then normal, if that's even possible! But maybe I'll see you there. After all, I have many airplanes to destroy.

Hey I got some good flying in at the HS this morning. Winds weren't too bad. Go to the field anyway! You can fly the lawnmower!

Going flying.

Well, it is dreary but reasonably dry and decidedly not windy, so I am going to take a ride to the field for a little flying, if anyone want to join me.

The flying was fine!

I had a great flight with my Profile Pitts! Then it got cloudy so I took the chance to hit Thruway TruValue for a few bolts I needed. While I was there, I picked up the air cleaner (SCORF!!! TAKE NOTICE!). It was 14.99 plus tax. I looked at the blades, but had no way to know the right ones so I didn't buy them. However there were 2 brands, and one was 26.99 and the other was 14.99. But we need to pull the blades to be sure we get the right ones. I kind of think they are universal fit, but the store lady said no.

Anyway, I went back to the field to install the air filter, and it was bright and sunny so I pulled the Pitts out and had another awesome flight! By now there was a breeze coming up the runway from the road end and with the flaps down I was literally able to stop the plane above the runway and set it down dead stopped! Sweet!

So, do we still have a club or what?

I almost bought one of those setups (parts, not an all together kit) with the stimulus check as it would be pretty awesome and some of the videos are great too. If you buy piecemeal, you can buy headsets with built in receivers and everything else, as well as more powerful transmitters, but it's a pretty cool kit.

You can find more info on the site of the guy who helped them put that package together.
