I was there for a few hrs on saturday. Flew the raptor a few times.... Now I need fuel. I have 1/2 gallon left. or 3 flights.(lol). But the field in in good condition and the ground is soft good time for removing bumps and such! Ed was not around so I did no talk to him. Will see him this week for sure. Hope to see everyone soon.

Went to the field this evening and had a nice flight with my supersportster. Runway was bumpy but none the worse for winter. However, the grass is starting to grow!

Mower

Darryl, think you and me can (should?) try yo get the mower cleaned up and in trim this weekend? A few basic tools, some rags and a bucket. It could sure use and oil change and it will almost certainly need a jump to start-might need a new battery. LMK

Mike, will the club reimburse us if we spend any money on parts/oil/gas?

Any interest in getting a few of us together with rakes, shovels and implements of destruction to walk the runway and flatten bumps, ruts, etc? We won't get them all, but if even a few of us spend a little time there with hand tools we can make a difference. LMK

And finally, is there anybody beside me who thinks that it is time for us to take the needed steps to officially organize into an AMA sanctioned group? It seems to me like we need to do this if we are to move forward with the "thing of ours." LOL.

As far as the AMA Sanction is concerned, I do not beleive we are eligable for sanction. Check with Manzer

We would be eligible as soon as we fulfill the requirments, such as the appropriate officer list and an agreement with SOURS re frequencies, I believe. But at least 5 guys got to want it enough to do it.
