Hello.
asking this for a friend of mine who wants to get into F3C : he has 2 sets of SAB carbon paddles and wants to know which set is better for F3C and why, they both weigh the same at 30g.

one set is this one (0601):

the other is this (0610):

the measurements are the following:
LENGTH CHORD
601 108 mm 57,5 mm
610 106 mm 60mm

so what do you guys think is more suitable for FAI F3C, and why ? what should be the differences anyway ?
thanks for your help

Hmmmm

I used to fly a set like the top ones but at 40grams and they worked very well. The 30gr ones were a bit touchy in hover. I've never flown the bottom ones but would suggest that he try both and see which one feels more like he would like.

On a dog sled team, if you're not the lead dog, the view never changes.

Check the airfoil, too. If one set has a thinner section, it would generally be preferable to choose the THICKER of the two sets. Thin paddles have a tendency to "bite" in a contest application, particularly in hover in the wind.
