Gassers seem ot work better with PCM... I always flew with PCM when I had mine and never had problems... I would not take the chance with PPM on a gasser...

The parts are no more expensive than any other MinAir machine... It is a great machine and most of the crash damageable parts are the same as various other MA aircraft...

Ron Lund has, or did have an exploded drawing with #'s on this site ... Look under plans...

I have had my gas x-cell since '96. It's no more expensive than the .60 size MinAir X-cell's as far as parts go.

But you will be flying for $1 to $3 per gallon instead of $18 to $25 per gallon that the glow people pay, so that will save you a bit if you fly a lot.

Don't think that you can't use the PPM receiver. Just be carful to do some range tests both with and without your engine running to be sure there is no interference. Remember, with PCM, it's not immune to interference, it just hides some of it! If you like, get a PCM receiver and enjoy the benefits of PCM since you can switch your 9C to PCM mode.
If you do, place the throttle to go to idle in fail safe mode but then set the other channels to 'hold' their prior position.

Good luck with the gasser.. I'm just starting to do aerobatics with mine. It's a whole new ball game now. This bird can be made to fly very smoothly or be a 3D animal.

I just noticed that you are in Boston. If you want to come up to NH to see my gasser, you are welcome to do so. I'm about 40 miles straight up route 93 and fly very close to Exit 4 in NH.
