| Hello People,
Just wanted to let you guys know I am trying out a new camcorder. I got the new Sony PC105 to replace my aging PC9.
Basically it's the same form factor as the older unit it replaces but has some new nifty features.
- The unit now finally supports megapixel so at least the digital camera mode doesn't suck too much when I print it out in photo album size.
- USB streaming means I don't need a firewire connection to capture video to a PC. I was able to get great NTSC quality videos straight into my Laptop with just the basic cable. I know VAIOs have built-in iLink but I prefer USB since I prefer thinkpads to vaios (personal preference).
It makes it sooo much easier to finally be able to edit videos in the field and not having to depend on my desktop workstation at home to do it.
So for the armchair video buffs, I highly recommend it for ease of use yet above average quality video output.
