Just put a high authority tail motor on my hummer, I am using seperates and want to know what the purpose of the little diode on the stock motor is for, and do I need to put one on the new motor, and if so what size or kind do I need to get, Also wondering about pinnion size what tooth size should I run on the tail motor? I will be running an Orion micro modified for the main.

Thanks

The component in question is a capacitor and it is used to filter noise from the motor. You should just be able to move the one off the old motor and put it on the new.

Help's prevent those radio glitches, and some say smooths out the current passed to the motor making it last a little longer.
