Last year we did night flying with fireworks. This year, I made a board that will hold 4 pieces, and have a system to fire them. They make these rocket igniters that are industrial strength! not the flimsy estes ones..but big strips of brass with a ton of stuff on the end. It has been tested and functions very well

Before the Safety nazis have a heart attack... This will be done in a county that allows these types of fireworks, on private property with owners consent...

The Snohomish Funfly in August may have a freak UFO sighting spewing out sparks..as well

But Doc, if you do it in another country, then the 4th of July doesn't have any significance there................ It'll will be like your shooting off fireworks for no aparent reason (like thats never been done before )

BTW I want to see the vid as well.

Make sure to get a video, you never know when one of those fireworks is going to misfire and go up in one earth shattering kaboom!

Wish I could be there...

Mike I hope you plan on a re-run for those of us that can't make the show.

Last year was too much fun and that rig looks even cooler!

I will stock up on some extras in the next day or so for August.

attack the statue

go to the link that mark posted above....but only click once on the head of the statue of liberty and see what a anti tank missle would look like shot at the statue...kind of funny in a sick way

Maybe add an exhaust extension so there is no possibility of igniting the unburned fuel leaving the pipe

Hey, thats me in the picture Racingstripe posted above... I was looking at it and thought..hmmm someone did their light scheme just like mine.... Abel and I did a little synchronized night flying..lots of fun!

Last year, I had no problems with exhaust getting ignited from the fireworks... Any super smart guys care to take a shot at whether or not there is anything flammable left in that exhaust??? I'd be interested...

Light a sparkler, then hold it up to the exhaust with the engine running. Lets us know what happens.

Now you got me curious.
