| I strongly recommend that you do not set up your Normal curve like with those numbers. The hacker does not have a soft start, so that curve will strip the teeth right off the main gear. You have to ramp up in normal. I don't have my radio right here, but you want to start with something like 0%30%50%80%100% in Normal, I usually don't fly mine in normal. I spool up in Normal and than switch to Idle up which is set at 80% all the way across. I have seen many people post that are disapointed because they don't understand that the rotor has to be spooled up and set up hard starting curves. I have had great luck with my Hacker controller. It does get warm, but than again in the 100+ degree weather of Phoenix that's expected. I don't hard mount the controller, opting to let it hang loose. I have cut several cooling holes in the canopy for additional airflow. I have had no esd issues either with the controller. A friend also flys with this configuration and has had no problems. I have only seen him start to thermal once, the controller simply began to lose power. Once he backed off and got some air flow it came right back.
You will need to configure for governor. We have also found that if you want a little more power, you can adjust the timing 5 degrees (count 5 beeps after the normal/governor beeps while in setup).
