| That tip was only for the original "straight" tooth t/r drive pinion. The "conical" can not be turned around, it will not mesh properly.
If your pinion is skipping either it is worn out or the main gear is riding too low. If the main gear is too low check to see if the lower bearing is completely seated in the frame.
To get the tail to hold good the linkage MUST move very smooth and not bind. The heli must run vibration free so the gyro can be run higher. A heli that vibrates causes the gyro to react to the vibrations. Get the head speed up (if CP) to 2100, this increases the t/r speed and makes it more efficient.
