I went to the field today.Another member was there with his whole family. He has 4 kids.I happened to be carring my heli to the shelter when there it was,A USED RUBBER!!!! The kids were playing within feet of it!! When they wern't looking I used a paper towel and disposed of it.
One other time a member drove back to the field, and saw a young couple laying on a blanket on the field. Clothes a few feet away!
He pulled up and started unloading his plane and equip. He said they looked like deer in the headlights, not knowing what to do.
They asked him how he got here,He replied "I Drove!"
He then asked if they would like for him to go to the other side of the shelter for awhile. of course they said yes!
Anybody have any similar stories?

can't say I have....our field isn't the easiest place in the world to get into ontop of the fact few even know it exist....even though it is smack in the middle of a residential area........I always used it though
Last week sunday about 8 of us were flying at our field, when a farther , mother and a teenage daughter walked onto our field, past our pits across our landing strip and over to the far hedge. Lucky for them no one was out on the flight line. Once they got to the far hedge they had nowhere else to go so the srtolled back past us and out the field. Funny thing is to get into our flying field you have to cross one field and then enter our field. There is no public access. They didnt even have the courtesy to say hello.

Our field is located In a rural park. We have the access road gated off,so no vehicles can get back there unless they have a key.
They would have had to walk about 1/2 mile in the dark, and through the woods. But some people will do anything for love!!!
I'm not saying I know this guy personally, but there's a rumor about a couple that were "in the mood" after a concert one late summer Saturday night. So the story goes, he was a local plank flyer and had the combination to the gate at the flying field. He took her there and well, you know... Legend says they even used one of the picnic tables for more than just having a midnight snack. After all this time, she still hasn't lived that down with the r/c'ers. And to think I've been married to her for over 12 years, now...
