Anyone out there built a new Raptor 50 Kit yet?

Mine is going along fine, except for the engine mount?

Using the OS .50 SX-H motor and the provided engine mount, after assembling the clutch and fan assembly, then sliding the engine between the frame, the bolt holes don't line up with the frame holes. I am about 4mm short, even though the clutch is seated in the drum properly.

Any thoughts.

OS50 mounts

Hi

Sorry if I misunderstood you.

You are saying the clutch is seated within the bell, are your holes in the mount lower than the frame holes. If so have you removed the prop nut on the engine. Please dont take this the wrong way.......sucking eggs and all that.

Just a suggestion.

Fixed the problem!

Thanks for the reply. No, I didn't take it the wrong way.

The problem with this setup is with Thunder Tiger (what a suprise, dah!)

You have to round out a small half moon shape on the frame side where the OS .50 carb slides. Seems the frame inhibits the motor from going all the way up into the frame, until you get the old dremel out and grind a small piece out.

I'm sure the Thunder Tiger Motor fits in fine, but then I'm not a Thunder Tiger person, OS only and always will be.

Problem fixed and everything lined up perfectly.

There should be a note made by Thunder Tiger about this problem! (Don't hold your breath!)
