hi guys, i got a webra 91 with hatori 700 full length pipe set at 440 mm aprox--- heres the scenario,

ill run it up, hit the idle 1 for governor 1550 head speed , i get a good solid hover with no banging signs of too rich

i hit switch for idle up 2 for governor 1700 head speed, i get a good solid hover no banging or tail wag

i come back down to idle up 1 and the throttle starts to hunt--tail wagging--and it wont go to 1550, the audibkle differnce is very obvious,

ill put it back down, disengage governor---re-engage and it goes to 1550 and stay with no issues,,only on the way down

its sounds like its hanging on the pipe, midrange to lean maybe

opinions --input--please

well i had two shims in it, to lower compression, and had it on 30 %

i took one shim out and put it on 15%, had to richen up the bottom end so much to keep the midrange from leaning out that it wouldnt idle

so i put the dual plug head on that i made for it, enya#4 and a mcoy #9

had to fiddle with needles a bit more, but it doesnt hang on the pipe or lean out in the middle.

im gonna play with this setup a bit, but i know that governors and tuned pipes dont play well together, but well see what happens

oops

oh yes the most important thing, i had ordered a new fanshroud after the throttle jockey incident, and the guys over at revolution models made im sure an honest mistake and sent me a right hand fan shroud and i had to mill out the opposite end of the shroud because therre was zero airflow, i got it where it would a fair amount of air but not as much as the other shroud, alot of the air was escaping right out the top of the shroud intake, so i made an extra epiece out of glass sheet to close the diameter of the shroud intake opening and voila an instant difference of 27 deg running temp, i think it was overheating when i would lean it out to get a good running engine, and when it was hot i had to richen too much too cool it down, the extra air allowed me to lean the needles without overheating it, and without the extra heat it doesnt hang on the pipe comming down i think
