| I have loved a smoke system on my turbine jet for some time now .. so i figured, why not on the turbine heli ? well, i set up an air presurized soke system on my Jetcopter SX. I ran it up yesterday, and its awesome !! In a hover, the smoke swirld in a vortex pattern under the heli (dont hover too long with smoke , its so thick you will loose sight of the heli !!! ) I will get some pics of it flying with smoke, but for now, here are some pics of the setup ..
this is the air tank that is presurized, to push the fluid out of the smoke fluid tank
this is the tank that holds the smoke fluid, its made from a used powermax can ...
this is a brass tube that is clamped onto the exhaust pipe at the rear of the turbine, it goes into the pipe through a small hole
here is a view inside the pipe, the end of the tube is flattened so it sprays the fluid in a fine mist ..
