I have been having a problem with the Freya flaming out when the fuel level reaches around 1/8 left. I've been running a bit rich to prevent it from flaming out when I do loops and rolls. Any ideas?

That's kinda low

Take a look at how your clunk sits in the tank. Is it into the fuel or are you begining to suck air at that point. The stock fuel line for the tank in the Freya is cheap and it allows the clunk to sit funny inside the tank.

I for one usually stop at 1/4 tank anyway and shoot auto's on the last 1/4 tank.

That's what I do as well, shoot for autos when I go below 1/5 fuel left, but this time, I guess I got too eager and pushed my luck as you would say. It autoed ok, but the tail blade hit a curb and I broke one (around $10).

Reading the October issue of MHW, I am not certain whether a header tank would help or should I just bite the bullet and change mufflers since I think mine (hashimoto tuned muffler) has bit the dirt once too many times.

Flying at idle2 all the time really shortens the Freya's flight time.
