Dave, will you have it at the vegas funfly? Is it the vario or Hirobo kit? I am thinking about a scale project and can get a good deal on the dauphin... Would like to talk to you face to face about it.

Thanks, Mike

This heli was soo nice, AND Hirobo that I put it on my website! Awesome detail no wonder it was a winner. I even got a Brazilian guy asking for more pictures once he saw it on my website.

Awesome work dave, I know I've already complimented you, but I had to do it here in front of the public too!

HH65 Equiptment

Vance,

Yes I have had it in forward flight and it is not a problem, sort of. I don't recommend FF for the weak of heart. It can be dicey and the fenestron is not as powerful as I would like it to be. I am working on some phasing tricks to see if I can make it better. I will keep you posted....

Details of the Machine are as follows:

JR PCM10SX
JR 10 ch. RX (all channels used)
3 JR 8101's on collective (3 servo, 120 degree CCPM)
1 Airtronics high speed servo on throttle
3 Cirrus retract servos
1 Micro Airtronics servo for spot light operation
Futaba GY502 gyro and Futaba high speed servo for tail rotor
Futaba GV1 govenor
Gem 2000 lighting and fuel warning system
YS ST2 engine
Hirobo Scale Muffler
Hirobo 4 blade head and glass blades (must be purchased in addition with the kit)
Custom hand made landing gear oleo struts with functioning siccors and faux hydraulic extension and retraction rams
Custom hand made rescue hoist
Custom hand made midnight sun spot light
Custom hand made HF antenna and strian relief
Custom made opening L2 door (the stock kit does not have this door opening)
Custom made opening right hand locker bay door with hand made latching system.
Fully detailed cockpit interior( missing some minor, yet to be added details) with control collums, rudder pedals, and collective levers.
Home made water transfers for all door markings and placards.
Plus many other small items to numerous to mention here....

Here is some additional pictures:

It's absolutely gorgeous.

Does the tail response lack authority in both directions or just one? Whenever I hear someone say the tail is not as responsive as i'd like, I always suspect gyro setup. You've probably checked everything but lets put it this way, if you can't get it 'authoritative' in the 'with' torque direction, somethings' not right. I've had it happen to me and I've thought it was tail blade pitch or throw or tail blade size and it always, always works out to be a gyro setup issue. I've had or have multiple 501s, 401s, and 601s, so drop me a mail if you aren't (as I suspect you are) an expert with them.

Gyro.....

Madman,

The gyro is set up fine....The condition I have is that the tail has little or no right authority. Left is fine as I have all I want. I have inproved the right a little but I would like to have more than I need just in case....
