Congrats Carl, you will certainly enjoy it... I've been flying a CX for about 15 months now and can tell you that the 24 tooth pinion with the 24-5 motor (as you have in the pic) is the way to go with any of the CF blades... I flew the 25 tooth at first but it goes through the battery too fast... The 24t is pretty perfect...

The MFS head allows you to do things at a lower headspeed than conventional helis... I fly MAH 690's & 710's and have found them to be quite super...

I fly the Panasonic 3000 Ultra Metals (32 cells) and charge them with an Orbit Pro and get about 8.5 to 9 minutes of pretty hard flying... The Orbit puts consistently about 3280ma's in on the charge... The Ultra metals are 5g each lighter than the other 3300 batteries and with 32 cells that adds up...

I also have found the U-BEC high voltage unit to be super as it takes away the extra weight of a reciever pack and the necessity of having to charge a seperate pack...

Hope this gives you abit more information in finishing your machine...

if I can be of help please email me anytime...

Carl, The boom on yours is one of the early ones... Great boom, just not pretty... The new ones are finished just as the mainframes...

You also don't have the CF landing gear struts as the CX's in the US do...

I carry the U-Bec HV's and also a CF ESC mounting /cooling kit that I designed and make... Quite a number of guys are using it with good results...

You can see pictures of them and other "stuff" for the Joker here ... Go to the pictures page and look at page 8... all of the pics on that page except the first and last are of my "stuff"... Many more pics on other pages, some stuff "to do" and some "not to do"...

Contact me directly if you wish at twguns@comcast.net ...

You also may want to join the group above, it's free and a welth of info and good guys there... It's free as well...

Hi Carl,

I too have just got a Joker from Revo.
Did you manage to get hold of a U-BEC
If so where did you get it from and how much did it cost?
