Hello all you Quick flyers , i am currently flying the 30 learner and thinking about trading it in for a pro carbon 30.Does anyone have experience with both of these. If so could you please tell me the differences in flight performance, auto rotation and the general aurobatic performance of this little beast. Any information would be greatley appreciated.

I think the 46 is the way to go for general aurobatic performance.
You won't need the CF fames and you can burn the cheaper 15%. Just an opinion.

You want the Quick Pro 50 !!!! Going with the Pro 30 is not going to make a big different... But if you thinking of geting in to 3-D flying the 50 will get you there

Yeah if they would just turn the engine around and put the fuel tank in the back under the mainshaft I would buy one. The Q-50 is a great value for dollar, the tanks just in the wrong spot IMO.

Well IMO I think the fuel tank is in a good spot in the Quick 50 you just haft to look a bit harder to see the fuel level when in flight.I have other helies with the fuel tank in the front and thay dont cause any problems either. Fit a header tank and you should never run out of fuel if you are looking. Dont let the fuel tank stop you from buying a quick 50

I used to think that way too, but let's see:

Voyager 50
Fury 60
Vigor CS

Most people think these are pretty good helicopters...

In fact, how many guys in the top 10 fly with a center tank heli?

Hope to see you at MHA.

Personal preferences apply to all our heli stuff and make it interesting. One thing that all heli pilots agree on is that the CG WILL change with the level of fuel in the tank. So all I'm saying is that the heli manufacturers should take a known issue and correct it to make it a non-issue. If the FAI routine had the hovering exercises at the end of the routine instead of the begining I bet you would see some redesign of the tank location as the CG shifts rearward as the tank empties which is not ideal for precision hovering.
I was at MHA yesterday and in between rain showers some of the pilots were hovering inverted in the "pond" out in the center of the runway. One guy did an engine off auto with a R-60 that skidded across the water about 30 feet and landed in about 8 inches of water. Another guy was hovering his Skiddy inverted over the water and dipped his blades UNDER the water and lost so much headspeed that it was a miracle that it pulled out( big splash) If it wasn't for the power of the OS 50 he would have been toast.
One fellow flew a vario jetcat turbibe and did a loop and a roll. The power of that turbine was awesome. He was using scale vario blades and not 3D blades or he could have done more. His post flight data download showed that his turbine accelerated to 101,000 RPM in the unloaded prtion of the loop or roll, his max temp was several hundred degrees below max so he was well within operating parameters. Yapadu video was there recording all of it for us to watch later.
See ya
