You should try downloading a program called Partion Magic, might have to use kazaa or buy. You should be able to make the drive into one single partition. You could also use fdisk but thats harder to use.

You could also try going to www.downloads.com and searching partition mangement. Maybe find a free app to help you out.

partition magic may not work depending on your OS.

If you don't need the crap on there, read up on the FDISK utility and use that.

I'd suggest 30 minute epoxy or even
JB Weld to join those two halves.

Then clamp and let sit overnight.

Since you say you do not have any
data on it and all you want to do is
'reassemble', you can just do a
complete reformat. You can use fdisk
or the disk partitioner that comes w/
XP under system tools.

This is what I would do:

Install the HD in a PC and boot using a DOS diskette.

At the A: prompt, type: fdisk

This is the partitioning utility that is part of DOS. You'll get a promt with 4 or 5 selections depending on the config of the drive.

There is a choice for removing partitions.

It'll take several steps, but you'll have to delete the partitions, then create a new one that is 100% of the disk capacity.

A tip: After each step, reboot. Sometimes it won't "take" if you don't reboot between steps.

Yep -- fdisk it -- it's the easiest way.

If you can't get a copy of fdisk, you might want to try gdisk.

you can get it from:
