Ok guys .. consider me a jerk ! because I never did this before . I have a Door which is polished brown . I want to sand off the polish and paint it white .

Questions

Can this be done
Will the paint hold
what kinda sander do I need (would one of those 39.99 portable ones will work)

Any other tips ?
