it's the human tounge. if a person gets a tounge piercing it will heal completely in about a week and if he or she removes the piercing for good it will heal itself competely shut. i know from experience
here's more sharks don't sleep, many cant stop moving or they die.
whales can hold their breathe up to an hour while diving to search for food. caribou and reindeer are one in the same animal, a reindeer is a domisticated caribou.

If you float in water, you float on sandy water. It's a relative density thing. It doesn't happen.

You can get a "quick" condition if water is boiling out of the ground; this causes a sudden loss in bearing capacity, and you may sink in a bit, but you will never go under...you will always float on top.

about the whole quicksand thing, the only reason why it is deadly is because after you sink in to about waist deep you can't get out and you starve. (or other bad things happen to you)

Don't know about that one about the shark being the only fish that can blink both eyes. I swear that that 43" Sturgen that was swimming in my ex mother in laws bath tub when she decided to jump in for a quick shower was blinking its eyes like crazy. AND if you think thats funny.......should of seen how the battle axe was jumping up and down in front of us yelling and screaming for a good 15 minutes till her son pointed out that she was buck naked. I tell you, we were laughing so hard tears were streaming down our faces for a least an hour.
