Reggie Ayres Heliman Location: Medford, OR
| Having a few Nitro Helis, including a Vigor CS, I got the bug to try a Micro Heli, after browsing that section of R.R. A senior member had a Hummingbird advertised that sounded like a fair deal. So like a dumb ass, I didn't investigate the price of a new kit, and assumed that this retired major was an honest guy, sent him a cashiers check for $320.00. I recieved the heli and was trying to get some smooth flites in when the worn out pinion gear failed. Ordered new parts, including drive gear, only to find that they didn't fit. It seems the model I had bought is very old. Then I just ordered a new bird for around $70. When it arrived, it became very obvious that I had been screwed by the Major.
The heli was a patched together wreck, with worn out parts. I could have bought new stuff for 20 dollars more than I paid for worn out and patched up stuff. So in the end, I have $ 620.00 into my Hummer. I should have known better than to think everyone is honest, but I try to think that most are. |
