There are three Bell 230`s from Graupner in Estonia. Two of them are fitted on Robbe mechanics.

I cant say anything about building them, but the guys who have built them are satisified. I like the fact that gear can be raised in to the fusealge. It`s done by three servos connected to one channel. A nice feature of this scale model.

It is also nice to see them fly. You can gain speed on the wheels and take off as an airplane.

PS. you can see pictures as well. Particular pics are taken 8th june 2003 on an abandoned airfield in Estonia. You`ll find Bell 230 and Futura Royal scale helis there. Also a selection of airplanes and non-scale helis.

scubabubble,

I just bought one, I'll let you know how it progresses. mine had some minor shipping damage repaired from the "factory" but at $220 shipped I'm not complaining. Can't see a thing wrong with it without looking at the inside.

Hi

Before you buy your 230 have a look at the Vario Gasser 230 it is one hell of a model

hello,

while your absolutly right about the Vario gasser 230 being a great heli., it is conciderably bigger than the Groupner 230, so a guy looking for a 60 size fuse would look at Vario's 60 size 230 and not the gasser 230

I am just starting to work on my Groupner 230 fuse, and I personaly think it is as good or better than the Vario, here's a couple reasons why.

the windows are factory cut out of the fuse using cnc technology, and the window glazing is factory sized for the opening's , the wood comes with the kit, better instructions, better instock supply, etc.etc.

I agree with everything you say however its the size of the vario that appeals to me and with the gasser you dont get the smoke trail that comes with a glow engine which I think lets the model down if scale is what you,re looking for. I run the Zenoa engine in 3 fifth scale off road cars and its never let me down. This is my first attempt at a Vario scale fuse so the results will be interesting.

yeah, but ???????

also true coastguard,

but the thread starter posted a Groupner 230 question in the Groupner section, and he mentioned nothing about a Vario, so I was really just trying to keep the thread ontrack
