| The 8.3 gear ratio is definitely more suitable for the Webra. A couple of people in the UK have tried it and are reporting the all the problems going away. Obviously it increases the noise and fuel consumption, but that is a small price to pay for reliability.
Regarding the 'jumping around', Bernhard is correct. Just don't take off from a hard surface. If it is all you have, take a piece of carpet and throw that down for your helipad. It'll make a great target for autos too
The alternative is to get the thing off the ground as soon as you can. I believe Jan suggests getting airborne at around 800RPM if you are flying off the hard stuff. |
