Does the front short pushrod go through both the guides on the main frame or just the larger guide near the back of the frame???

I also e-mailed century support and a response came in less than 10 minutes. They said I could do it either way as long as there isn't any bind.

The pushrod moves smoother if you only pass it through the guide on the back of the frame.

Tail Rotor Pushrod

Only thread it through the larger one at the back of the frame. I even remove the smaller one with a dremel, to insure the rod will not rub against it.

GREAT

Glad I checked the forum... This is a question I had. I even bored out the front hole, but the pushrod still seems a little stiff, with intermittent servo buzz . I will take mine out of that hole.

Great forum.

As long as we are building the same animal, I was wondering about the tail pitch ball links. Mine didn't come assembled so I had to pin them myself. I did notice that they had to stretch a bit to fit. I did sand some meat off them but I am wondering if you had the same problem. They are still very tight in movement though and I am concerned about binding.

Not sure why you are having a problem. As you may already know, the ball links are slightly different for the tail pitch then the rest of the ball links, but I didn't need to modify them on my model.

Try connecting the ball link on its own (Off the tail pushrod) and see if it still sits tightly. The tightness you may be expreiencing may be due to friction of the rod passing through the tail pushrod guides. If this is the case it could be the you haven't aligned the tail pishrod guides correctly.

Hope this helps.

odlaw, I know what you are talking about... I believe he is referring to the ball links attached to plastic balls on the tail blade holders. Mine were REALLY tight as well. I surfaced the links like you did, but got no love. What I did do was heat the links for just a second with a lighter, after I had installed them. They flexed out just a little bit, releasing the pinch, and freeing the linkage. Not sure I reccomend this, but I did it, and will see how it holds up. It does solve the problem.

Thanks, John Cadwell

I heated it while it was assembled with the pitch change ball links on the pitch change slider. The part was already flexed out, pinching the pitch change slider. When I heated it, it flexed out to not be pinching. Don't overdo it. Good luck..

Thanks, John Cadwell
