Got Jet Fuel? Turbine Helicopters > Higher head speed on JetCopter - WOW!!!

Bob Wilcox sent me new gearing which increased my head speed from 1250 to 1390. I can't believe the difference! It's much more stable, more responsive, climbs like a scalded ape, and is a LOT more fun to fly! I highly recommend this mod to anyone flying the JetCopter. It takes an hour or two to make the swap, but it's well worth it. You may consider doing it at the 25 hour service interval, since you have to pull the turbine at that time anyway.

You won't believe the difference!!

Hi Rick,

I'm not into 3Ding the jet. I'm just enjoying the more responsive, accurate flying with the higher head speed.

New Gear Installed

Just flew mine today with the new gear and extra head shims.

Now it flys like a normal heli! I could get around 8sec of hands off hovering. Today was rare in oklahoma as it was dead calm.

Any this mod is worth it!!

Hello guy's don't you think the 1250 was previously thought to be use into a scale body ?
Also you should have gain some tail respons with the new gearing ?
What is the Refrence for the gearing and the price ?
Thanks

You're right, Rico. The new gearing did help the holding power of the tail quite a bit.

Jet copter

I came down on my gyro gain from 85 to 70. Did some fast fwd flight for the first time today and even some 360 stall turns. I would not have tryed this at 1250 rpm.

Also when I am at a steady hover I can go to full collective and the gyro will hold the tail. Before when I did this the tail would turn at least 180 as it climed out.
