hi guys i thought it about this long and hard and it goes like this, someone sold theyre jetcopter on her a few months back for 3500.00 w elec. , now everyone seems to think that 3500.00 is the magic number that a used jetcopter is worth, wrong, i am still selling my jetcopter, but the price is 4700.00. no elec
fuselage and parts 1200.00
its seems for some reason to be perfectly reasonable for a jetcopter owner to lose 1800.00 to 3000.00on a sale yet for someone to ask a fury owner to lose 500.00 on their fury with engine and pipe is an absolute insult, a turbine chopper is worth every penny their selling it for

,they are not cheap there for no one is going to get a dirt cheap turbine from me sorry for the sour grapes but im sure some of you guys have gone through the same thing on a smaller scale..but money is money i mean really 3500.00 for a jetcopter 4 months old that sold for 5300.00 i can understand depreciation but come on!!
regards rick
happy turbine owner..

Your Jetcopter is not worth what you want for it. Its worth what someone will give you for it so there's no point in going on and on about how no one will pay you what you what, ITS TOO MUCH!!

If you want to sell it you have a choice. Either keep the price where it is and wait until someone comes along who will pay it, or drop the price until someone thinks they are getting a a bargain.

However you wrap it up, you're stil trying to sell a second hand used heli at a price not far short of a new one and I for one am not surprised it hasn't sold

I look at it as there is more to mess up on a turbine than a nitro there fore I would want to pay less for a use one to make sure I had money to rebuild. Any one that is looking at turbines is also probably looking at the new SPS system that is coming out and in my book the SPS shots the Jetcat out of the sky.Now I can't be called an expert like you Peter who has owned both ,but I can read both products description and read the forums and make a decision on that.
Just my 2 cents

Good luck on your sale though turbinesrule

If you buy anything and use it, its 2nd hand. You can use it a little or a little more and its good but its 2nd hand, or you can use it a lot and its not so good and its 2nd hand.

Turbines are expensive and complex and when you sell it 2nd hand, the buyer gets it with no warranty. Take something like that to your hobby store and they will offer you 1/3 the new price for it and sell it for 2/3 the new price. Selling it privately for 1/2 price is normal if it is used and in good condition.

Your turbine is very little used so commands a higher price but to take a risk and buy something without a warranty demands a significant discount over the new price. Then there is the question, if it is any good, why is he trying to sell it so soon after buying it? Whats wrong with it?

$3500 is 70% of the new price and seems reasonable to me. I have a Futura based Jetcat heli I was thinking of selling. My considered asking price was $4000 with GY601 and full electronics. If I do try and sell it, I will take anything over $3000, but I doubt if I will sell it. I like flying it too much.

This time last year I got $6000 for a Jetcat engine alone. There were none in the country except the ones I had. Now you can get them from stock and they depreciate in value like anything else.
