I have about 8 flights on my Scaedu 50. I love everything but the roll rate. Please let me know your opinions on the wts or without. I have the brass ones out now and it is a little better.

I just removed the weights on the paddles on my Shuttle RG yesterday.
BTW, the Sceadus use the same as the RG as well as the GPH.

The roll rate did improve, but it did affect CG a bit as the heli tended to pitch up in FFF. Just make sure you trim it out again in all flight modes after you take the weights off.

Before you go changing paddles, look at a few other things.
What is your headspeed? How much cyclic do you have?
I find that the led only gives a very nice roll rate with 600s and ok with 620s. No weight at all makes the helicopter pitchy even with 620s.

setup

I am running a governor and it is set at 1650 for now. I have a little vibration at 1750 that I can't eliminate yet. The cyclic runs -10 to +12 and roll cyclic is as much as I can get without binding. My Freya and Fury roll fine. I am running SAB 600s. My other heli's are set up for 1750 and that is most likely the difference. I may not make it twitchier for now because my next goal is inverted flying and nose in landings and takeoffs. I actually plan to put my wood 600s from my old Raptor on to practice this until repair time or I master it. I am getting used to the roll rate.

I would not put the wood blades on your Sceadu. I ran some Aerotech 600 mm wood blades on my Sceadu and they bent the spindle because they were going in and out of track.

Sounds like the head speed is a bit low. 1750 is what my freya likes and about 1750 -1800 for my sceadu. Cyclic is the for/aft and left/right control. Pitch is the -10 +12 you are talking about. It sounds like you have enough cyclic.

I have tried the 570 stock blades, 600 modelsport, 620 wide v-blades. The roll with the 570 and 600s are very fast. The 620s is a lot smoother.
Are you using as much flybar input as possible? Do you have the ball on the out side hold of the washout control arm?

It sounds like your head speed is just too low.
