Well on Sat. I flew my first tank and was up looping and rolling. I then did a steep decent and quick stop in front of me Just in time to see the fuel line pop off my header tank. At the time I didn't know if it was the header feed or the engine feed so I came down quick. Today (Sun) I went up to Buckingham to fly and had Two lock outs I came down and did a range check and found that with the engine running it was about 20 feet much less than my usual 200 feet. I swapped out transmitter modules and used mine in another transmitter on a different machine and narrowed it down to my receiver. I tore my machine down to replace the engine bearing's (planned maintenance) and found that my two piece Hatori muffler needed new "O" rings and the header was rubbing hard on the muffler. My feeling is that my range although it is a problem the header "rub" was what caused the problem. I plan to send the receiver and the transmitter module in for a check out. The final problem can be seen in another post as I found my chunk line crumbling ......what a weekend.

Disasters?

Yikes I would say you've had your "bad things come in 3's" Now you can relax and enjoy flying.

Will bad engine bearings cause RF noise?

You made me wonder about engine bearings. I just started to get some glitching in my Hawk 30 (has an OS32F-H in it) and was just starting to consider the engine. I am getting a glitch on my collective and tail servos once I bring it up into a hover. I removed the head and the mainshaft and ran it up a little on the ground, could see the servos glitching so I know it wasn't the mainshaft bearings.
