| Oil in fuelI use PowerMaster 15% synthetic with 23% low viscosity oil. My engines run nice and cool and to give you an idea of well the fuel runs with the extra oil, here is a great story.
One of the screws that holds the fan shroud to the frame was stripped. So I got a bigger screws and put it in not realizing it was too long. Next time I went to fly, the engine wouldn't turn over, but it would go "click" and turn over some. This happened a few times.
When I finally realized the problem, I replaced the screw and off I flew. Flew it this way for 2 weeks until I had to pull the motor to replace a broken starter shaft on the clutch.
When I pulled the engine, 5 little black plastic pieces fell out!! When the engine turned over, it broke a fan blade. Only 1 or 2 were left! Only the oil in the fuel saved that motor.
Interesting part was there was no additional vibration or noise, I had no idea they were broken and somehow lying in there.
I do run the engine dry at the end of the day, but do not use any additional oil or after run oil.
