Has anybody had any experince with the webra motors in helis'
Like the .61 or .75
If so how did they compare to the OS or YS engines and were you able to run lower nitro % and still have power?
Thanks..............JOHN

Webra engines

I had a Webra 61P5 in my Raptor 60, it was a new engine when installed with a Weston pipe. I had trouble getting the needles set right so I would up putting on a dual glow plug head and that helped out a great deal. The engine has good power once you get it set up correctly but I found mine to be very picky and seemed the settings moved a good deal from day to day.

I pulled it out last week as I'm converting the R60 to a scale H500E and the Weston won't work the way I have it setup. I have a long Hatori pipe with a rear exhaust that I will use. I had an OS61SXWC engine sitting on the shelf and decided to make it the engine for the scale ship.

I think deep down I trust the OS motor more and that is why I swapped motors. I know the OS are reliable and consistant and that is what I need in the scale ship. The Webra may be fine in it as well but I just don't trust the motor as I do an OS only because I haven't seen many around.

The Webra motor makes good power when broken in correctly and I ran 15% std. Cool Power.

I have a couple of Webra 50 GTH motors. They run great, make plenty power, are smooth and always start good. They are also capable of running on zero nitro, although I use 10% CP as I can`t be arsed buying different fuels for my other motors (OS46 and a 50).
From what I have seen with the motors I run, all in Moskito`s, I would prefer to have the Webra in ALL of them. I have had a lot of hassle with the OS46 motor, from new (came in a deal with the heli, I wanted to swap it for a Webra at the time but the seller, a LHS, didn`t want to do the deal) The OS50 is an old one and runs ok, but nothing like the grunt of a Webra.. I don`t run fancy pipes on them either, just mufflers, either stock or Zimmerman stainless.
